Guidelines for preparing for tattoo or laser treatment

1. Begin by cleansing the area where you will receive the tattoo or laser treatment. Use soap and water to wash the designated area thoroughly.
2. Place a heated towel on the skin and let it rest for approximately 5 minutes. Ensure that the area is completely dry before proceeding to the next step.
3. Apply an even layer of numbing cream to the treatment area and massage it in gently, making sure to cover the entire area.
4. Cover the cream with plastic wraps, such as Saran wrap, and secure it tightly. The warmth generated under the plastic wrap activates the cream and prevents it from drying out.
5. Allow the cream and wrap to remain in place for 40-50 minutes before the tattoo or laser treatment. After this time, remove the wrap, wipe off any excess cream, and wait for an additional 20 minutes. This will maximize the numbing effect.
6. Once the cream is removed from the numbed skin, wait for 10 minutes. The duration of numbness may vary based on your skin type and the specific body part being treated, but typically it lasts between 2 to 4 hours.
